Bradford Arabic School (BAS) formally established in 2004 BAS celebrated its completion of the first academic year in the old building. BAS moved to the new building in Claremont in September 2006. Bradford  Arabic School was recognized and registered in Education Bradford as a supplementary school in April 2007.   All the 5 students in BAS who achieved (A) grades in Arabic in the academic year 2006-2007 were awarded by Bradford Education in an award ceremony on 8.12.2007   Yorkshire Post Newspaper mentioned the achievement of one of the students (Zaki) who got A* in his GCSE in Arabic (23.7.2007) The students enjoy good social activities within the community A trip to Eureka Museum in Halifax on 13.1.2008 A Strategic Planning day for Bradford Arabic School held on 26.4.208 Saturday 28.6.2008 : The last day of the academic year 2007/2008 ..  A day of celebration . A trip on 12.7.2008 to Flamingo Land .. GREAT FUN ! In August 2008 (AS & GCSE results) another great achievement .. all students achieved A and A* ..  Congratulations ! Wharfedale & Airdale Observer (local newspaper) mentioned two of the students (Salam & Malik) 28.8.2008 Telegraph & Argus newspaper published the achievement GCSE of one of Bradford Arabic School student 27.8.2008 Bradford Arabic School moved to Byron School in BD3 with classes covering all levels (from reception to "A" level ) and functioning on Sundays .   Bradford Arabic Pilot Project  (2008/2010) agreed and started in December 2008  following a meeting in Education Bradford on 16.9.2008 attended by Dr. Sharif Kaf Al-Ghazal (Chair of BAS) , Mrs. Jane Arundale ( Primary  School Improvement Officer - Education Bradford) and few head-teachers. Bradford Arabic Pilot is to start in 4 main stream schools for 2008-2010  .  Attended by 12 headteachers  Award Ceremony organized by Education Bradford for GCSE students at  Cedar Hotel on 6.12.08 Saturday . Open Day on 16.12.08 to Celebrate Arabic in Byron Primary School  . 19.10.08 Bradford Arabic School Youth club meeting  delivered by brother Alyas Karmani  in Dar AlArqam , Topic was about Effectiveness in life . 2.1.2009 School Youth Club activity for girls (Raising the self esteem and planning for the future ) . Supplementary schools' Management Certificate  was granted to BAS on 27.1.2009 An Article Published in the NRC  Bulletin Publication in London  in Jan. 2009    On Friday 27.2.2009 , the  Governing Body of the school met at Claremont Centre and chaired by Dr.Sharif Kaf Al-Ghazal.    Many issues discussed and great emphasis have been given to improve the standard of teaching and the need for more support to develop the teaching skills and managing classrooms. Other issues discussed , including (newsletter, Finance, Quality Frame Work & delivering Arabic teaching in other 4 main stream school ).  Chair of school attended the Primary Language show in Liverpool on Friday 6.3.09 and presented in a work shop Bradford Arabic School experience in teaching Arabic in the English schools . Sliver Award was granted By National Recourse Centre (Continue You) in London , was granted to Bradford Arabic School . On 25.6.2005 Bradford Arabic School (BAS) celebrated its successful completion of the first  academic year in the old Dar Al-Arqam building (16 Neil Street) :

In the beginning of the academic year 2006-2007 the school moved to the new building of Dar Al-Arqam in Claremont.
Almost 95 students joined the school in that year :

In the academic year 2006/2007 5 students managed to sit for the GCSE exam . All of them passed with (A) grade ( 3 with A* star). the students are :

 The school would like to congratulate the students and their families for such great achievement.

Bradford Education organized an award ceremony for all students of supplementary schools in Bradford who achieved good results in their GCSE (year 2006/2007). Our 5 GCSE students who achieved excellent results accompanied with their families and attended the ceremony which was held on 8.12.2007 in Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford. Certificates and gifts was presented by John Gaskin (Managing Director - Bradford Education).

It was a pleasant surprise to discover that Bradford Arabic School produced the best result among all supplementary schools and Madrasahs in Bradford in the year (2006/2007) !

GCSE and AS students in Bradford Arabic school are enjoying good social activities within the
community

The students enjoyed a nice trip to Eureka Museum in Halifax on 13.1.2008 organized by the school . They learned quite a lot about many aspects of science .. and they had a great fun !

A Strategic Planning day for Bradford Arabic School was held on 26.4.208 to discuss activities, performance and set plan of actions and objectives for the next 12 months.

On 28.6.2008 (the last day of the academic year 2007/2008) students had their certificates presented . They celebrated their good achievement in a nice sunny day !

Bradford Arabic School organized a trip on 12.7.2008 to Flamingo Land. Students and their families thought it was a great day and full of fun !

In the academic year 2007/2008  one student (Omar Issawi) achieved an (A) grade in the AS exam . CONGRATULATIONS Omar !

Also 8 students managed to sit for the GCSE exam . All of them passed with (A) grade (4 with A* star). the students are :

Bradford Arabic School moved to Byron School in BD3 with classes covering all levels (from reception to "A" level ) and functioning on Sundays . After the lunch break all students attend the assembly for a short while and also enjoy bit of sport  .. if the weather allows ! 

Meeting in Education Bradford on 16.9.2008 attended by Dr. Sharif Kaf Al-Ghazal (Chair of BAS), Mrs. Jane Arundale ( Primary  School Improvement Officer - Education Bradford), Ms Beverley Minor from Education Bradford and few head-teachers of main stream school in Bradford. Bradford Arabic Pilot is to start in 4 main stream schools for 2008-2010. BAS provided 2 teachers in these schools (Byron Primary school,  Lister Primary school , Atlas School &  Eastwood school in Keighley) . teaching on the weekly basis  by Mrs. Hayat Al-Halawa & Mr. Mohammad Isrib.
Kids really enjoyed Arabic language !

Award Ceremony organized by Education Bradford for all students in Bradford Supplementary schools who passed their languages GCSE at  Cedar Hotel on Saturday 6.12.08 .   Mr. John Gaskin (Managing Director - Bradford Education) & Mr. Jani Rashid ( Head of Diversity and Cohesion  - Education Bradford)  presented the certificates to the students and the school chair.

Open Day on 16.12.08 to Celebrate Arabic in Byron Primary School , attended by head-teacher of both school, staff teachers, parents and also students from both schools.  Arabic songs, drama, hand made Arabic souvenirs, Arabic sweet & Slide Show Presentation about the culture and the historical heritage.  

On 19.10.08 , Bradford Arabic School Youth club had a meeting session delivered by brother Alyas Karmani  in Dar AlArqam

On 2.1.2009 the School Youth Club activity was for girls .

Chair of school (Dr.Sharif Kaf Al-Ghazal) attended the Primary Language show in Liverpool on Friday 6.3.09 and presented  Bradford Arabic School experience in teaching Arabic in 4 English schools . He joined other members from Education Bradford and school head-teachers in a work shop held in Liverpool.

On 26.6.09 The Modern Foreign Language Conference organized by Education Bradford and held in Midland Hotel. Presentation delivered about the project of teaching Arabic in some of Bradford schools . Three  students who are learning Arabic in Bradford performed song (Nasheed) in Arabic .

On 28.6.2009 the students of the school enjoyed a trip to Flamingo Land. Everyone enjoyed that day .. thanks to brother Dr. Khaled Khalil (deputy head) for organizing that trip !
